Simple preparation routine for clients
- Print the job description and highlight 6–8 key requirements.
- Prepare at least two STAR examples for each of the big skills (teamwork, communication, problem-solving, organisation).
- Research the employer (website, LinkedIn, news).
- Prepare 3 questions to ask them (about training, team, progression).
- Practise out loud with a friend/adviser or via mock interviews (many jobcentres and colleges offer these).
